Let's just start!!

Welcome to the Enok's Laboratory Blog!

It’s been a long time coming, but finally I’m going now live in action!

First of all, I am not a writer honestly and I would rather be painting really but I did want to create a blog where I can discuss my work and current projects. So with without further ado, let’s jump right into it!

Ok, so as with most creative portfolios and agencies on the web, it’s always your own site that gets done last, due to the fact that you are busy on putting all the creativeness into your paid work, so the company site always gets plunged out for last.

Well, in my case things work differently.  I will turn the tables around and start off with a fresh explosion of creative first impressions!

This charming new polished blog will host my latest new ventures, which will include the following:

  • Updates on my current art projects
  • Graphic illustrations
  • Graffiti Art paintings
  • Airbrushing
  • Tips and advice for upcoming artists
  • Self-Motivation
  • How to sell your work
  • How to present yourself to clients
  • How to promote it

5 years ago, I graduated from high school and went straight into work. I had no experience or training in art, but relied on raw talent, so I jumped straight into automotive airbrushing and graffiti murals.

In these 5 years I learned how to master the airbrush art, in 3 years I managed to put my signature in more than 200 vehicles that were airbrushed throughout the city of Miami. I’ve put myself out there in the magazines (Rides, Truckin, and others), I mastered the graffiti art and was featured in Miami Graffiti the book, I participated in the Primary Flight’s Graffiti Hall of Fame for Art Basel in 2010. On November I did live airbrushing at the SEMA 2011 show for the Iwata company (leaders in airbrush tools) along with some of the top best airbrush artists from around the world that came here to the Las Vegas Convention Center …and this December I’m flew back to Miami to participate on a 6 on 6 state battle (Miami vs. LA) …it has been a very crazy and unpredictable journey for me as a freelance artist.

Oh! By the way I almost forgot to introduce myself; my name is Rey but everyone calls me ‘Enok, this is my middle name and my street artist name in which I use to identify myself. I was born in El Salvador, raised in Miami and now live in Las Vegas. I consider myself a good friend and a very enthusiastic team player in professional settings. I’m a philosopher, an artist in many areas, a great listener, a protector of my loved ones, a motivational speaker to my family and friends, and role model to many, a leader in airbrushing arts, and a student of life.

It’s funny how I have all this talent thanks to God, but never really decided to take it further into my true potential. I decided to attempt creating my first and only website from scratch last year. It was such a tough challenge for me that it took me about 4 months to do a simple 4 page site. Despite the headaches and complications in the html/css coding, I managed to enjoy the whole process. I loved it so much that because of this experience, I decided to take this school to polish me further in this avenue. I signed up for Web Design & Development program that Full Sail University offers.

I’m really here because I want to expand and share my experiences and to have a more complete portfolio of what I normally work with. I also want to network with the right people, which I’m a strong believer in this quote; “It doesn’t matter what you do or how good you do it, what matter is who you know and your connections.”

With all this said, I’m looking forward into meeting you my friend who is reading this and I hope that we can network together to reach our goals. There is always something new to bring to the table and I’m sure every individual has something to teach and so I’m willing to so the same and share some knowledge.
